  1. FIGHTER SWEEP FROM DEELEN
  2.  
  3. Your Fighter Group, based at Deelen 
  4. airfield in Holland, is in the process of 
  5. converting from P-47 Thunderbolts to the 
  6. P-80 Shooting Star.  Everyone in your 
  7. group has been anxious to start flying the 
  8. new jet, especially since there has been 
  9. so much Luftwaffe jet activity lately.  The 
  10. Jug has been a great plane for your 
  11. group, but it is really no match for the 
  12. speed and agility of the jets.
  13.  
  14.                     YOUR MISSION
  15.  
  16. On the last fighter sweep of the day, you 
  17. and your mixed flight of P-80s and P-47s 
  18. are ready to take off from Deelen.  Since 
  19. the P-47s accelerate faster than your new 
  20. jets, they are already airborne and 
  21. buzzing you overhead by the time you've 
  22. warmed up your engine (show-offs!).  As 
  23. the Thunderbolts roar by, you see them 
  24. suddenly veer up and to the right.  
  25. They've sighted a large formation of 
  26. Luftwaffe jets heading this way, and the 
  27. fight is on!
